OpenSUSE 11.3 launched

Postby Edvard on 19 Jul 2010, 20:17

Image OpenSuse 11.3 is now available. It runs the 2.6.34 kernel, Gcc 4.5, Gnome 2.30 and KDE SC 4.4.4. With the release of the new version, support for versoin 11.0 is now gone though, so those lagging behind should consider upgrading.
Personally, I OpenSUSE was my Linux distro of choice for ages and I loved it. However, I have never tried it running Gnome which is what I will be trying now.
Please do share your experiences with all of us though should you decide to give it ago!

LOL I just incorrectly assumed it was. Latest "preview release" is 2.31.4...

I guess it was 'announced' in 2008... perhaps that's where the confusion lies.

As of now, it's planned for Sept. 2010. It has been hyped up for a while now, so I am just trying not to get too excited.
