3G stopped working in latest versions on Touch Pro

I know CDMA support sucks but I thought this might help in some way, or maybe have a solution.

I don't know which version I was using before as the change log isn't dated. Today I installed the latest release of 2.1 on my RAPH800. After booting 3G wouldn't work (wifi worked fine). I tried rebooting a couple of times, entering and exiting airplane mode (which worked before when my 3G would cut out) and nothing worked. I read some things were working better in 2.2 so I tried that was well with identical results.

The phone works fine for calls.

Any fixes for this? If not, I hope it helps some development.

I believe you have to set an APN before 3G works, at least, that's how I got it to work. It should be somewhere in Settings, I can't really check right now where exactly it is.

That guide is very unhelpful for CDMA phones (even know it says "Both CDMA and GSM devices should be able to get a working data connection now"). Two of the three links to carrier settings are broken, the one that works doesn't have any CDMA carrier settings listed. The wiki doesn't have any CDMA settings listed. The lines in startup.txt aren't needed.

I ended up fixing it by finding a page while searching for the correct sprint settings on a blackberry forum.

Just use the US settings from the above link, save the APN, then under Network Operators choose Select Automatically. 3G switched on instantly.
